Chris Brown

Footprint® Consultant

One of the original founders of igloo, Chris is still a regular consultant to the business with a key focus on the evolution of our Footprint® methodology.

Chris, who founded igloo over 20 years ago, has always understood that value is created from taking a sustainable approach to building and placemaking.

With collaborators, Chris spearheaded the launch of the igloo Regeneration Fund, managed by Aviva Investors. This was described by the United Nations as “the world’s first responsible real estate fund” and is underpinned by the internationally acclaimed sustainable investment policy, Footprint®.

His work with igloo today, advising on the continued evolution and application of our Footprint® methodology, helps to ensure that our teams and projects benefit from forward-looking, leading-edge sustainability thinking.

Chris is also Senior Board Adviser to Nationwide Building Society on climate change and the built environment, and Senior Sustainability Adviser to Lloyds Bank’s Housing Growth Partnership.

Additionally, he is a Director of; community benefit society SE1 Solar, retrofit innovator Future Fit Homes, the London Doughnut Economy Coalition and a trustee of the North Wales Wildlife Trust.
