A Sustainable Investment (SI) policy we created for the igloo Regeneration Partnership (also since adopted by Blueprint), Footprint ensures their regeneration projects are sustainable in the widest sense - that they are well designed, that they are kind on the environment, and that they create long term, people-focussed great places.
The policy has four key four themes:
A committee chaired by Jonathon Porritt OBE (Forum for the Future) and comprising Paul King (UK Green Building Council), Anne Power (LSE), George Ferguson (past Chair, RIBA) and Nic Marks (New Economics Foundation) assesses projects against the objectives of the policy at various stages through their lifetimes to ensure compliance.
You can read Footprint here (Footprint policy) and, more importantly, see how it looks in action when development schemes are actually delivered on the ground here (Footprint in Action).
